Challengers
I was commissioned by Little White Lies to create a portrait tryptich illustration of the protagonists Zendaya, Josh O'Connor and Mike Fiast o accompany an article celebrating the release of Luca Guadagnino's newest film, Challengers.
It's a romantic/ sports rivalry film and I doused all the images in an 80's high fashion look that permeates tennis clothing.
I used a combination of traditional pencil techniques and digital techniques to create an illustration that is both vibrant and steaming with tension and an intense rivalry between the members of the triangle. For the director's illustration I chose to put him in a tracksuit as he's both coach for the actors and a referee for the characters throughout the film's conflict.
